Mercer University - Be the Bear

Campus Life

Living on campus is a significant and positive part of the Mercer experience that provides students with opportunities to grow and develop beyond the classroom — new friendships, a sense of community, enhanced campus involvement and even higher academic performance. For that reason, all students are required to live on campus for their first two years of college. However, most elect to take advantage of on-campus housing for all four years.

From traditional residence halls to apartments to Greek housing, Mercer offers students a variety of living accommodations. In addition, amenities such as internet access, cable television service, laundry facilities/service, food service and free trolley transportation to downtown locations make living on campus convenient, safe and fun.

Each room is furnished with single beds with mattresses, desks and chairs, chest of drawers and closets. All that is missing are the bedding and accessories needed to personalize each space!

Staff and Programming
Each floor in the residence halls and apartment buildings has live-in student staff who serve as sources of information, mentors and organizers of community building activities. Full-time, live-in Residence Hall Coordinators supervise the student staff and provide emergency duty coverage for the residence halls and apartments.
